- We highly recommend driving this route for its scenic views and ease of travel.
- Avoid the ferry by taking Interstate 10 to Exit 828, then go south on Highway 124 at the Winnie exit.
- Highway 124 will take you straight to Highway 87 which runs along the coast.
- Once you arrive at Highway 87, Camp Margaritaville RV Resort Crystal Beach is 19 miles to the west.
Another Route
- Take Interstate 45 and head south to Galveston, then take the ferry from Galveston to the Bolivar Peninsula.
- Ferries run the 2.7 miles between Galveston and Bolivar Peninsula on a regular schedule 24 hours a day seven days a week.
