What time is check-in at the hotel? Is early check-in possible?
Check-in at the resort is at 4pm. Want to start your relaxation early? Early check-in is available for an additional fee. Please ask your reservations specialist for details.

What time is checkout at the hotel? Is late checkout possible?
Checkout at the resort is at 11am. If you'd like to hold onto that vacation feeling for just a little longer, late checkout at 2pm is available for a fee.* Reach out to our front desk for details.

Is there a minimum age for checkin?
The minimum check-in age is 18.
What is the hotel's cancellation policy?
Cancellation policies change seasonally and are based on the type of reservation booked. Please refer to your confirmation for cancellation details.
Are pets welcome at the hotel? What facilities and services are available for pets?
Dogs are welcome at the resort. Please refer to our Pet Policy page for complete details.
Is smoking allowed at the hotel?
Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas. Smoking in a guestroom will result in a $250 fee.
How many people are allowed per room?
Under California Fire & Occupancy Code, no more than 4 adults per room are permitted in rooms with 2 Queen beds. Rooms with one king bed are limited to 2 adults per room.
Does the hotel offer parking?
Valet Parking is available for a fee. Vehicle height is limited to 6 feet, 8 inches. Valet parking is the only parking option available at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe. We do not offer self-parking.
What is the best way to get from Reno/Tahoe airport without a car?
South Tahoe Airporter provides year-round transportation with non-stop service from our resort to the Reno/Tahoe International Airport.
Is public transportation accessible from the hotel?
Lake Link is a free on-demand shuttle which takes guests to South Shore beaches, trails, entertainment, and nightlife.
Is there an on-site restaurant?
Yes! We invite guests to enjoy breakfast, lunch, happy hour, and dinner and more at our five distinct bars and restaurants.
Is the hotel ADA accessible? What accessible features are available at the hotel?
Are children welcome at the hotel? What facilities and services are available for children?
Yes, we are a family-friendly resort and invite kids to enjoy our pool, hot tub, and seasonal activities including lawn and lobby games, holiday celebrations, movie nights, and more.
Can I receive mail and packages at the hotel?
We gladly accept mail and packages on your behalf. Please speak to the Front Desk for more information. Handling and delivery fees may apply.
We ask that all packages are addressed to the guest and we ask for identification prior to releasing the package.
How many pets are welcome? What is the weight limit?
Dogs are welcome with a weight under 30 lbs. A maximum of 2 dogs per room.
Do my pets need to be leashed?
All pets must be fully trained, always leashed and under the control of their owner while on property including the lobby area.
Can I leave my pet in my room or leashed at the resort?
Pets must not be left in guestrooms unattended.
Can I bring my pet to the pool area?
Pets are not allowed in any water feature or within the pool area or in the pool under any circumstances.
Where should I take my pets so they can relieve themselves?
The resort provides designated pet relief areas with complimentary disposal bags. Maps are provided at check-in.
My pet is a little noisy, will that be an issue?
For the comfort and fairness of all guests, any disturbances, such as barking, must be curtailed immediately to ensure other guests are not inconvenienced.
Does the resort provide housekeeping service if I have a pet in my room?
For the safety of our staff, housekeeping services will not be provided if your pet is in the room. Please contact the Front Desk to schedule a convenient time for housekeeping staff to service the room.
Oops my pet damaged something in the room or on resort property. What happens now?
Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe reserves the right to require guests to pay for any damage to hotel property and/or any personal injuries resulting from or caused by their pets(s). The resort reserves the right to charge the account/credit card commensurate to the cost of such damages, including loss of rental income.
