The Matanzas Pass Bridge will be closed from 9 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, March 9th for the 5k Run and Parade.
Originating in the early 1960s, the festival has grown to celebrate the area's vibrant shrimp industry, showcasing its cultural significance and economic impact. Over the years, the event has expanded beyond its maritime focus, incorporating diverse activities such as live music, arts and crafts, and a variety of culinary delights featuring the local shrimp. The festival stands as a testament to the community's pride in its maritime heritage while providing a lively and entertaining experience for locals and visitors alike.
