This includes securing room reservations and going through every detail of the ceremony and reception. We have ample rooms for guests, which draw on the island’s natural beauty, and feature ocean and garden views. Our concierge is happy to curate classic Key West adventures for your guests, including fishing trips, bicycle or scooter rentals, and expeditions through Sebago Watersports. Margaritaville Beach House Key West also has a special bridal suite and ready room for you and your squad to get glamorous on your big day. Our expansive grounds are able to accommodate both a rehearsal dinner and reception. We hold rehearsal dinners at our Tin Cup Chalice Bar & Chill Veranda and receptions at our unique, tropical Tiki or courtyard. These airy spaces, surrounded by our beautiful gardens, are truly one-of-a-kind.
Ceremonies are held on Smathers Beach, just a few steps from Margaritaville Beach House Key West. There is nothing more romantic, or memorable, than a beach wedding. The largest and most exquisite of the Key West beaches, Smathers is a picturesque natural setting. Guests will step into the soft sand and dip their toes in the turquoise water. With the help of our coordinators, your wedding weekend will go off without a hitch. While we work individually with each couple to plan details, below is an overview of a typical wedding weekend for your inspiration:
Arrival at Margaritaville Beach House Key West:
When you arrive at Margaritaville Beach House Key West for your wedding weekend, you’ll stay in our Ocean View Suite. Enjoy a welcome drink on your private balcony. Breathe in the ocean air and take in the breathtaking views of Florida’s wild Straits. This is your time to relax and rejuvenate before the big day. Take a sunset walk with your spouse-to-be on the nearby Smathers Beach (which is also the site of your ceremony!).
The Rehearsal Dinner:
After your guests get checked in, it’s time to start the celebrations. Our wedding coordinator will take you through a stress-free rehearsal and will answer any questions you might have. Then, your wedding party will head to the Tin Cup Chalice Bar & Chill Veranda for a rehearsal dinner. With views of our beautiful lagoon-style pool and tropical flora, this is the perfect spot to welcome your friends and family.
Your Wedding Day:
Head to your bridal suite to get ready for your big day. Your first look with your spouse-to-be will take place between the verdant fronds of our native garden. This is a hidden cove, perfect for private moments. From there, you will take the few steps to Smathers Beach for your oceanfront ceremony. Your guests will be seated facing the ocean, taking in the warm sun and crisp ocean air. Exchange vows in the soft white sand as your guests enjoy the stunning natural scenery. Afterwards, your photographer will take portraits of you at golden hour, capturing the famous Key West sunset. The pastel pink sky and tranquil blue ocean create the perfect romantic backdrop.

The Reception:
Following cocktail hour in the courtyard, it’s time to dance the night away! Guests will explore our beautiful gardens and be led into our whimsical Tiki for the reception. With our team of dedicated coordinators, no detail will be overlooked – guests will be wowed by the charm and tropical vibes of this unique space. Handcrafted cocktails will be served, alongside an assortment of entrees featuring classic Key West flavors, from grilled prawns to grouper to mojo marinated pork chop. Your guests will delight in the delicious cuisine and vibrant drinks while busting moves on our dance floor. After the party winds down, guests can take our shuttle to Duval Street to explore the town’s historic bars. No matter where they end up, your guests will retire in style in one of our charming suites.
The Next Morning:
Say goodbye to your guests as they enjoy a brunch buffet, complete with an omelet station and mimosa bar in the lush garden courtyard or Tiki. Then, cherish one last day in Key West with your new spouse. Indulge in a final sunset walk, or explore sites in town, like The Hemingway House or the Key West Aquarium.
