Fifolet Festival: October 2023
Halloween in Baton Rouge is a month-long celebration and this festival features events including a costume ball, zombie pub crawl, a 5K run, and the family-friendly arts market set up on the Mississippi Riverfront. Plus, one of the best fall things to do in Baton Rouge with kids is the annual Halloween parade on October 28, 2023. Held downtown, the parade features colorful floats cruising down the parade route as riders toss candy and trinkets to folks standing curbside. Check out more information here.
The 13th Gate Haunted House: September 29 - November 4
Widely regarded as one of the top haunted houses in the Country, The 13th Gate, located in Baton Rouge, is the Ultimate Haunted House. Journey through 13 nightmarish realms where your worst fears come true and anything can happen. From exploring an old, abandoned asylum, to being lost in dark underground tunnels or even finding yourself standing on a rickety bridge overlooking hundreds of live snakes, this 40,000 square foot haunted house is definitely not recommended for the faint of heart.

Live After 5 Concert Series: October 13, 20, 27
Baton Rouge's premier seasonal live music event series, Live After Five, produced by the Downtown Business Association, continues to provide enjoyment and entertainment for the Greater Baton Rouge area each week. Each spring and fall, visitors and locals take in the sights and sounds as musicians come together to perform a free concert in downtown Baton Rouge’s North Boulevard Town Square at Galvez Plaza on Friday nights from 5 pm - 8 pm. Barn Hill Preserve Pumpkin Patch: Saturday and Sunday in October and November
Fall is in the air, and if your family is ready for some fall activities in Baton Rouge, the Barn Hill Preserve Pumpkin Patch / Prehistoric Pumpkin Patch is one you won’t want to miss. Barn Hill Preserve’s annual Pumpkin Patch has quickly become a fall family tradition. The pumpkin patch is open from 9am-2pm every Saturday and Sunday in October and November. Ticket prices includes one small pumpkin picked from the pumpkin patch in addition to animal encounters, a corn pit, pumpkin painting, trick-or-treating, hayrides, a corn maze, archery, games, kangaroo walkabout, and other activities.
