Seniors First Turkey Trot 5K
Now in its 31st year, Orlando’s Seniors First Turkey Trot 5K is a Thanksgiving morning tradition. This year, however, you’re invited to gobble up your miles virtually before you feast. Participate at the time and place of your choosing — what a great way to see Margaritaville Resort Orlando’s tropical grounds! — to raise money for Meals on Wheels and other programs that support seniors in our community. With your entry fee, you’ll receive a T-shirt, finisher medal and finisher certificate.
College Hoops
Just minutes away from Encore Resort at Reunion, ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World hosts the Orlando invitational from November 26 to 29. Celebrate Thanksgiving with some of the best teams in college basketball! Eight teams will play a total of 12 games to see who takes home the title. Three teams in the 2020 field finished this past season ranked in the AP Top 25 – #2 Gonzaga, #9 Michigan State, and #20 Auburn. Gonzaga and Michigan State also appear in the latest ESPN Way-Too-Early Top 25.

Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s
Want the excitement of the traditional parade without the cold weather of New York City? Orlando has its own version of the popular Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade at Universal Orlando Resort. Giant balloons and floats based on characters from Universal rides travel through the streets of Universal Studios daily beginning November 14. Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s is included in regular admission.
