Baton Rouge Annual Mardi Gras Festival: February 10, 2024

Lassiez le Bon Temp Roulez! Experience the 11th Annual Baton Rouge Mardi Gras Festival with some of the best talent scheduled to play on the Town Lawn Stage. The festival will take place from 10:00am - 7:00pm. Admission is free to the public, but there is a $50 VIP package and a $100 Big Chief package available for purchase. Enjoy a variety of live performances and grab a "Taste of Louisiana" meal near the stage. Shop at our Vendor Village for beautiful artwork, festival food, beverages, fashion, unique jewelry and more.

Zapp's International Beerfest: March 2, 2024

Join the Friends of LSU Rural Life Museum Utz Brands for the 19th Annual Zapp's Internation Beerfest! Enjoy tastings of more than two hundred domestic and international beers and ales at this Baton Rouge tradition. The event will also feature more than a few home brews, which are always crowd pleasers. This event is for patrons 21 years of age and older. There are admission fees for entry to this event.

Taste of Mid City: April 14, 2024

Baton Rouge is bringing together the best area restaurants and chefs for the annual Taste of Mid City food festival! This fun, family-focused event benefits Mid City's own Youth City Lab and features samples from your favorite restaurants, live music by BR Music Studios, games, activities for kids, and more! The event will be from 1-5 pm on Sunday and 100% net proceeds will benefit the Youth City Lab.

Baton Rouge Blues Festival: April 19 - 21, 2024

The Baton Rouge Blues Festival is a free weekend-long annual celebration of the swamp blues in downtown Baton Rouge. Enjoy a weekend of music, food, and dancing to the swamp blues music and culture native to Baton Rouge. There will be local food vendors and a bar for food and drink purchases. Plus, there are several ways to support the event by sponsoring, donating, or volunteering. Get ready for a weekend full of music.

Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival: May 3 - 5, 2024

The Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival has also become one of the largest gatherings of world-famous Cajun musicians. All weekend long you can hear the sound of authentic Cajun, Zydeco, and Swamp Pop music rising from the festival. Whether your musical taste is Cajun or Creole, you can witness over 30 bands perform over the three-day event if you think you have the stamina. It’s a perfect opportunity to see our musical tradition passed from generation to generation. Plus, nothing is as unique to Cajuns as eating crawfish during the festival weekend. There is daily admission for the public or a 3-day pass for $25 that can be purchased the week of the festival.

Crawfish King Cookoff: May 10, 2024

Experience the 10th Annual Crawfish King Cookoff in their return to downtown Baton Rouge in 2024. This fundraising event increases youth mentoring activities in our schools and after school programs. You can register your team to enter this cookoff competition, but team spots are limited. Want to eat the delicious fixin's? The cookoff will be open to the public for all you can eat boiled crawfish while supplies last for an admission fee.

Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival: May 18 - 19, 2024

This 2-day annual Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival is family oriented event and provides entertainment, a kid friendly environment, and good soul food cooking. It creates an opportunity for the people of Louisiana and surrounding areas a place to show off their soul food cooking skills in several categories in a judged competition, as well as showcase their talents in the entertainment and arts and crafts fields.

Fireworks In The Sky

4th of July Fireworks: July 4, 2024

Dress in your best red, white, and blue. This 4th of July Firework event will be held on the river in downtown Baton Rouge. There will be live music performances, excellent dining opportunities, and of course fireworks. Family friendly festivities starts at 4pm, which include several fun activities for kids such as face painting, magicians, clowns, and more. The night will end with the firework display at 10:30 pm.

Nomad Music Fest: August 26, 2024

Nomad Music Festival is an event hoping to impact our generation by exposing people to a family-friendly music event, while promoting local businesses creating an environment making you feel like "home". Tickets can be purchased online and doors will open at 10:00am. You can enjoy music all day, with performances on the indoor and outdoor stage.

A Taste of the Deep South: October 12 - 13, 2024

The 8th Annual Taste of the Deep South Music Festival is an event promoting new talents and identifying cultural needs in the Baton Rouge community. Henry Turner Jr. Day was established in 2017 to salute individuals, organizations and companies, in the greater Baton Rouge area, for their ongoing philanthropic efforts to improve the quality of life for people in the community. Since then it has evolved into a festival that celebrates the rich culture of the south through food and music.
